Well, lemme tell ya, that 50 Cent concert in Charlotte, it was somethin’ else, I tell ya! It happened at the PNC Music Pavilion on August 16, 2023, and folks was talkin’ ’bout it for days! It’s all part of his big ol’ “The Final Lap Tour,” and you know, that man ain’t slowing down anytime soon. Even though he ain’t from around here, his music sure does get folks excited, and when he stepped on that stage, you could feel the whole place light up. It was somethin’ like a big ol’ celebration, y’know? The energy was real high, and folks were hollerin’ from the start.
Now, about them tickets! I heard they weren’t cheap, no sir. Some folks probably saved up a good bit of money to get in, but let me tell ya, it was worth it. The place was packed—1.05 million tickets sold, and a good chunk of ’em were for shows in North America alone. That’s a lotta people, y’all! And folks from all around came to see him, too, from places far and wide. They say his tour raked in over $100 million! Now, that’s a lotta money for a rapper, ain’t it? Only a few others have made it that big, and you gotta give props to a man like 50 Cent for that kinda success.
Now, I know you’re wonderin’, how long did the concert last? Well, don’t you worry. 50 Cent got on stage sharp at 9:10 p.m., and the whole thing felt just right. No hurryin’ through songs, no long breaks, just straight-up music and energy for a good while. Folks were dancin’ and shoutin’, singin’ along to them songs they know by heart. You could tell 50 Cent was enjoyin’ himself too. He’s been around a long time, but he still got it—he still knows how to keep a crowd goin’.
What songs did he play? Oh, honey, you know he played all them hits. He’s got some of the most famous rap songs, and let me tell ya, when “In Da Club” came on, I thought the whole place was gonna come down! That song alone had everybody singin’ along. And then he played “21 Questions,” and folks was swayin’ and reminiscin’—oh yeah, it was like goin’ back in time for a minute. He also dropped some newer stuff, too. He ain’t just livin’ off the old days, he’s still puttin’ out tunes that folks enjoy.
Y’know, people always say rappers don’t have no respect for the crowd or don’t know how to put on a good show, but 50 Cent? He ain’t like that. He made sure the people felt appreciated, always talkin’ to the crowd and hypin’ ‘em up. Ain’t no way you could’ve left that concert without feelin’ good, even if you were just sittin’ back watchin’ it all happen. The vibe was positive all around.
And you know what else? You couldn’t beat the atmosphere at that PNC Music Pavilion. It’s just the right size for a concert like this. Big enough to fit a crowd, but small enough to feel personal. You could see the lights flashin’ and hear the bass thumpin’ in your chest. It was like a big ol’ family reunion, but with way more swag and rap music. If you were there, you were part of somethin’ special, and it felt like that’s what 50 Cent wanted. He wasn’t just performin’ for the money, he was performin’ for the people, to let ‘em know that after all these years, he’s still on top of his game.
If you missed that show in Charlotte, don’t fret. 50 Cent’s got a whole bunch of shows lined up for 2024 and 2025, so you might catch him again. But I tell ya, that Charlotte show? It was a moment in time. Real good concert, real good vibes, and real good music. People who were there won’t forget it for a long time, I betcha.
