So I was just messing around online the other day, and I stumbled upon something interesting about CJ McCollum, the NBA player. You know how we always get curious about the personal lives of athletes? Well, I sure do. So, I started digging into who he’s hitched to, and it turns out his wife is pretty impressive herself.
Her name is Elise Esposito, now Elise McCollum. And get this, she’s a dentist! I found this out by checking out her Instagram and some articles online. It’s pretty cool to see what she’s all about when she’s not courtside cheering on CJ.

- Then, I found some articles talking about Elise. Turns out she’s 31 and they have a kid together, Jacobi James, born in January 2022.
- I also peeked at her Instagram, @elisespo. You can see she’s got a life outside of being an NBA wife – she’s got her own thing going on as a dentist and seems pretty passionate about it.

I got a little more curious and wanted to know how much CJ is earning. I mean, he’s a big-time player, so he’s gotta be making bank, right? Found out he signed a 2-year contract with the New Orleans Pelicans for almost $64 million! That’s a lot of zeros. And in 2024-25, he’s set to earn $33,333,333. Crazy, huh?

Then I went down another rabbit hole and checked out CJ’s background. He was a Senior CLASS Award finalist back in 2012-13 and got a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Lehigh University. It’s always interesting to see what these guys were up to before they hit the big leagues.
