Hey everyone, it’s your boy back at it again! Today, I wanna talk about someone who’s been absolutely killing it on the golf course lately – Hannah Green. I’ve been following her journey for a while now, and let me tell you, this lady’s got game.
So, picture this: it’s 2018, and I’m just getting into watching golf regularly. I stumble upon this young Australian golfer, Hannah Green, who just joined the LPGA Tour. I remember thinking, “Okay, let’s see what she’s got.” And boy, did she show us! Fast forward to 2019, and she’s already making waves. I was glued to the screen, watching her clinch her first major win. It was incredible! I jumped out of my chair, spilling my drink everywhere, but it was worth it. I knew then that she was someone special.
After that, I started digging deeper into her career. Turns out, she was born on December 20, 1996, in Perth, Western Australia. No wonder she’s got that Aussie grit! Following her on social media, seeing her posts about her practice rounds, her wins, and even her life outside of golf made me feel even more connected to her journey. She’s got over 34K followers, so I’m definitely not the only one who’s impressed.
- 2019 was a big year. I was watching every tournament she played in.
- 2023 rolls around, and she’s still going strong, winning the LA Championship. I was like, “Yes, Hannah!”
- Then comes 2024, and she wins it again! Plus, the Women’s World Championship. I was losing my mind!
One day, I decided to watch some highlight reels. I found this one from the 2024 BMW Ladies Championship. It was from October 20th, and I watched it at least five times. Each time, I was just as amazed by her skill and composure. It felt like I was right there with her, cheering her on from the sidelines.
She even represented Australia at the International Crown teams event. I remember feeling so proud, even though I’m not even Australian! It was around this time that I noticed she had solidified herself as a top-10 golfer. I checked the world rankings, and there she was, sitting pretty at number 6. I was like, “You go, girl!”
And get this – she’s only 28! She’s spent 107 weeks ranked inside the top 20, and at one point, she was as high as 13th. That’s insane! I was telling all my friends about her, how she’s got 23 career top 10s already. They were impressed, to say the least.
Recently, I was reading up on what clubs she uses. Turns out, she’s a six-time winner on the LPGA Tour and a Major Champion. I mean, no surprises there, right? It was interesting to see what gear she relies on. I even tried to mimic her swing with my own clubs, but let’s just say it didn’t go as planned.
She’s been selected for the Paris 2024 Olympic Team. Now that is going to be a great time for sure, I have already marked my calendar to make sure I will be ready for that. Go Hannah!
So yeah, that’s my little journey following Hannah Green. It’s been a blast watching her grow and dominate the sport. I can’t wait to see what she does next. Keep an eye on her, folks – she’s the real deal!
