So, yesterday I dug into this “Igon’s Furled Finger” thing in Elden Ring’s new DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. Man, what a ride! First off, I started by exploring this new area, just soaking it all in, you know? Then I stumbled upon this dude, Igon, chilling by a cliff. He seemed pretty beat up, a “broken drake warrior” is what the game calls him.
We chatted, and he handed me this gnarly-looking finger, all twisted and messed up. He called it “Igon’s Furled Finger.” At first, I was like, “What the heck am I supposed to do with this?” But Igon told me to climb to the top of the Jagged Peak. He said I can find some “monstrosity” up there. He also said this finger is a summoning device, and I can use it to call him for help. I figured it might come in handy later, so I pocketed it and kept exploring.
Later on, I was making my way to fight this big bad boss, Bayle the Dread. And let me tell you, this guy looked tough! On the way there, guess who I ran into again? Igon! He reminded me about the finger and told me I could summon him during the Bayle fight. I thought, “Why not? A little backup never hurts.”
So, I entered Bayle’s arena, and right there, past the fog wall, I saw Igon’s summon sign. I used the Furled Finger, and boom, there he was, ready to throw down. And boy, did he make a difference! He whipped out this huge bow, Igon’s Greatbow, and started peppering Bayle with arrows. It was a huge help!
- Find Igon: He’s hanging around near the path to Bayle the Dread.
- Talk to him: He’ll give you the Furled Finger.
- Keep it: Don’t use it until you reach Bayle’s arena.
- Summon Igon: His sign will be inside the arena, after the fog wall.
It was a pretty cool experience. Having Igon there made the fight a lot more manageable. If you’re about to tackle Bayle, definitely make sure you grab that Furled Finger from Igon. It’s a game-changer!
Tips
Remember to talk to Igon after you defeat the dragons in the area. That’s the key moment when he gives you the Igon’s Furled Finger. Igon says that I should summon him during the boss. I kept Igon’s Furled Finger in my inventory to unlock his summon sign during the Bayle the Dread encounter. Then we won together!
