Okay, guys, today I’m gonna talk about my little adventure trying to set up my stuff like that famous Minecraft streamer, Technoblade. I saw his setup, thought it looked pretty cool, so I decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be.
First off, I started with the video settings in Minecraft. Technoblade uses “Dynamic FOV” at 90, and he turns off smooth lighting. Easy enough, right? I went into my Minecraft settings, found the FOV slider, and cranked it to 90. Switched the FOV type to “Dynamic”. Then I turned off smooth lighting. That part was a breeze.
Next up was the gaming gear. I looked up what Technoblade uses. He’s got a BENQ ZOWIE XL2411P 144Hz monitor. I’ve got an old one, and I didn’t think it would matter, so I stuck with it. Then, I tried to find his keyboard, a Corsair K70 MX Red, that wasn’t too bad, so I ordered one online. For the mouse, I already had a Razer DeathAdder 2013 laying around, so that was covered. The headset was a bit tricky. Technoblade uses a Sony MDR7506. I didn’t want to spend too much, so I just used my regular earbuds for now. Didn’t really get the mousepad.
Now, the real challenge was the gaming setup itself. Technoblade uses a Blue Yeti USB microphone. I already have a simple microphone, so I used it. But I noticed he’s got an arm for his mic. I searched a lot but failed to find his product. As for control panel, amplifier, and all that stuff, I had no clue. I don’t even know what those are for! I decided to skip those for now. His chair and camera weren’t specified, so I just kept mine.
The Problems Started Here
After I got all the gear set up, I ran into some unexpected problems. First off, I noticed my Milwaukee M12 FUEL Compact Band Saw was making some weird noises. Turns out, it needed some maintenance. I had to take it apart, clean it, and put it back together. Took me a good few hours, but I got it working again. Then, I realized that the LiDAR pressure advance on my K1 Max wasn’t working properly. I thought it would work fine with Creality Print or Prusa, but nope. Had to do a bunch of troubleshooting and software updates. Finally, I managed to get it re-worked. It was a pain in the butt, to be honest.
So, after all that trouble, I finally got everything set up. Did it feel like Technoblade’s setup? I’m not sure about it. But it was definitely an experience. I learned a lot about my own gear and how to troubleshoot things. I guess that’s what matters in the end. Also, I found that Technoblade is 22 years old in 2021 and he was born on June 1st, 1999. And yeah, he does have ADHD. Not that it matters to my setup, but it’s interesting trivia.
In conclusion, trying to replicate Technoblade’s setup was way harder than I expected. I didn’t even get it perfect. But hey, I had fun, and I learned a lot. Maybe I’ll try tweaking things more in the future. Who knows?
