Alright, so I’ve been digging into this whole “Texas Tech Baseball Transfer Portal 2024” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. I started by just trying to figure out what players are leaving, what players are coming in, you know, the usual stuff.
First, I scoured the internet for any info I could find about this transfer portal. I stumbled upon some website that talked about “transfer portal rankings”. It sounded kinda interesting, so I dove into that. They have these rankings of college athletes in the NCAA Transfer Portal, using something called the “On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings.”
Then I shifted gears and started looking for specifics on Texas Tech. I read that a pitcher from Auburn, a lefty named Zach Crotchfelt, is joining the Red Raiders. He announced it on his social media, apparently. Seems like a pretty big deal.
After that, I tried to find a list of Tech players who are entering the portal. It’s a little early, the portal’s not even fully open until June 3rd, but some names are already starting to pop up. I found out that a redshirt freshman infielder, Travis Sanders, is probably one of them. We will see if there are more soon.
- Incoming:
- Zach Crotchfelt (P, from Auburn)
- Outgoing:
- Travis Sanders (IF, Redshirt Freshman)
Current Summary of Texas Tech Baseball Transfer Portal
So yeah, that’s where I’m at right now. It’s still early days, but it looks like there’s going to be some serious movement in the Texas Tech baseball roster. I’ll keep digging and updating as more information comes out. I just wanted to keep a record of my findings, you know, for myself and maybe anyone else who’s interested in this stuff. Keep your eyes peeled!
