Today, I was reading this article about bodyguard Pokemon, and I just had to try it out. It’s a fun idea, having a Pokemon as your protector. I mean, who wouldn’t want a Charizard or a Machamp watching their back, right?
Getting Started
First, I picked my Pokemon. After thinking about it, I went with Gardevoir. Not the strongest, sure, but it can teleport and use psychic powers. That sounds pretty handy for a bodyguard. Plus, it looks cool.
Next, I needed to figure out how to make this “bodyguard” thing work in the game. I decided to keep Gardevoir as my main Pokemon in battles, always leading with it. It’s not really a bodyguard if it’s sitting in the back, right? I equipped it with a held item called “Focus Sash” to ensure it will survive even a powerful attack.
Putting It to the Test
- I started wandering around, picking fights with trainers. It felt weird, relying on one Pokemon so much.
- Gardevoir did pretty well. It’s got some good special attacks, and that teleport ability came in handy a few times.
- I even tried a few gym battles. It was tough, but with some strategy, we managed to win.
What I Learned
It’s actually kind of fun, playing the game this way. It makes you think differently about your team and how you use your Pokemon.
My Gardevoir is getting really strong now. I’m thinking of trying a different bodyguard Pokemon next time. Maybe a Snorlax, just for a change of pace. Or even a Blastoise, that would be awesome, I guess. Who would you guys pick as your bodyguard Pokemon?
It was a blast playing with Gardevoir as my bodyguard. I encourage everyone to try this out. You might be surprised at how much fun it is. And I think I will do it again next time.
