Okay, so today I was messing around with this “came forth” crossword thing. It started like any other day, I woke up, made some coffee, and thought, “Why not try a crossword?” I’m not really a crossword guy, but I figured it’d be a good way to kill some time.
I grabbed my laptop and googled some online crosswords. Found a site that looked decent, nothing too fancy, and they had this “came forth” puzzle. I clicked on it and got started. First, I read through all the clues, you know, just to get a feel for it. Some of them were pretty straightforward, like fill-in-the-blanks or whatever. But then there were others that were real head-scratchers.
I started with the ones I knew right away. Typed in the answers, easy peasy. Got a little confidence boost there. Then I moved on to the ones I thought I knew. Sometimes I was right, sometimes I was totally off. When I got stuck, I tried to think of all the words I could. I even wrote some down on a notepad. This went on for a bit. I filled in some more, got stuck again, you know the drill.
Thinking Hard
Then came the hard part. There were a few clues that just didn’t make any sense to me. I read them over and over again, but nothing clicked. I even tried to use the letters I already had to figure out the missing words, but that didn’t always work. It was like trying to put together a puzzle with missing pieces.
- I got up and walked around.
- Grabbed a snack.
- Stared out the window for a bit.
Sometimes you just need to step away, right? Finally, I went back to it, and I don’t know how, but a couple of the answers just popped into my head. It was like a lightbulb went off. I quickly typed them in, and they fit! I was on a roll now.
After a while, and I mean a good while, I finally finished it. I leaned back and just looked at the completed puzzle on the screen. It was a good feeling. I mean, I’m not gonna lie, it was tough. But I did it. I actually solved the “came forth” crossword. It’s not every day you can say that.
So yeah, that was my adventure with the “came forth” crossword. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m glad I stuck with it. Maybe I’ll try another one sometime. Maybe not. We’ll see.
