Okay, so today I tried to figure out something about this “Willis McGehee” guy. I didn’t know anything about him, just saw the name, so I started digging.
First Steps: Basic Searching
I fired up Google, you know, the usual. I just typed in “Willis McGehee” and hit enter. I saw a bunch of different things – some genealogy stuff, a few mentions in old newspapers, and some links to what looked like historical records.
Getting a Little Deeper
- I clicked on a couple of the genealogy links. Seemed like there were a few different Willis McGehees throughout history.
- I noticed one was connected to Arkansas. That sounded interesting, so I focused on that one.
- I dug around on some historical society websites.
Putting It Together
It was a bit like a puzzle. I found some mentions of him in connection with land records. Then I checked another site and found his name show up there. I kept going back and forth, checking different sources.
What I Figured Out (So Far)
I think I’ve narrowed it down to a specific Willis McGehee. He seem like he lived in arkansas. It took a while, but I think I’m on the right track. I’ll probably keep digging tomorrow and see what else I can uncover.
