Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a new tattoo for a while now. I wanted something that represents strength and determination, and I’ve always been a huge fan of Canelo Alvarez. The dude’s a beast! So, I decided to go for an “arm Canelo tattoo”.
First, I spent hours online, just looking at different designs. Searching for “Canelo Alvarez tattoo” gave me tons of pictures, from simple boxing gloves to full-blown portraits. It was kind of overwhelming!
I narrowed it down to a few styles I liked. I knew I wanted it on my upper arm, something that would look good with a t-shirt or tank top. I also considered the size – not too big, not too small, just right.
The Artist
Next, I needed to find a good tattoo artist. This is super important! I asked around for recommendations and checked out some local shops. I finally found this one guy whose portfolio was amazing. He had done some really detailed work, and I felt confident he could pull off the Canelo design.
Desin Choice
I booked a consultation and showed him the pictures I had saved. We talked about the placement, the size, and the specific style. I decided to go with a stylized portrait of Canelo, with some boxing-related elements around it. We didn’t start the tattoo on day one. After discussing and sketching, he was able to draw a prototype that was satified to me!
The Tattoo Session
The day of the tattoo, I was pretty nervous, not gonna lie! But the artist was cool, and he made sure I was comfortable. He prepped my arm, applied the stencil, and then it was go time.

- It took about 4 hours in total.
- The pain wasn’t too bad, more like a constant scratching feeling.
- There are some color and a lot of shading, but it looks pretty cool!
Aftercare & Result
After it was done, he wrapped it up and gave me some aftercare instructions. I made sure to keep it clean and moisturized, and it healed up perfectly. Now, I have this awesome Canelo tattoo on my arm, and I’m super stoked about it! Every time I look at it, it reminds me to stay strong and keep pushing forward, just like Canelo does in the ring.
