Okay, so, I’ve been seeing this “Meredith Scudder” thing popping up everywhere, and honestly, I was clueless. It looked kinda cool, though, so I decided to give it a shot. I figured, why not, let’s see what all the fuss is about.

I am going to practice and record every step.
Diving In
First things first, I needed to, you know, actually find this thing. I started with the simple find with name. I got a feel that this is some method for generating beautiful art or something.

- Step One:Create a new layer .
- Step Two:Duplicate the background .
- Step Three:Choose a color that is simple .
- Step Four:Create a gradient from color to transparent .
- Step Five:Change the blending mode of the gradient .
- Step Six:Duplicate this layer two or three times.
- Step Seven:Rotate the layer, change it is size.
- Step Eight:Chose different color to repeat last sevral steps.
- Step Nine:If you want you can add the details by brush tool.
I messed around with different base images, different colors, I was moving stuff, changing sizes, flipping things upside down… it was a total * I am a green hand,it took me much time.

The “Aha!” Moment
I played with the gradient tool. I used bright, contrasting colors, overlapping them, and rotating each layer * Finally I get a cool work, and understood the key of this skill.
