Alright, so I’ve been hopping between Valorant and Overwatch 2 lately, and the difference in aiming was messing with my muscle memory. I needed to get my Valorant sensitivity over to Overwatch 2, so I wouldn’t be whiffing shots all day. Here’s how I went about it.

Figuring Out My Valorant Sensitivity
First things first, I needed to know my Valorant sens. I already knew it, of course, but for anyone that needs help with this you open up Valorant and jot it down. It’s right there in the settings, under the “General” tab, labeled “Sensitivity: Aim”. Mine was at 0.4.
The Conversion
Now, there’s no direct, in-game way to transfer sensitivities. So, I did some digging.I remembered there’s some kind of math involved, and it’s not just a straight copy-paste.
I’ve heard of a few different methods, but the one that seemed to work best is to use a simple conversion, The number I kept seeing was 3.33. I have to divide my valorant sensitivity by this number, I can not multiply!
- Valorant Sens: 0.4
- Conversion Number: 3.33
I grabbed my calculator (yeah, I’m that guy), and did the division: 0.4 / 3.33. That came out to roughly 0.120.
Putting it into Overwatch 2
Next, I fired up Overwatch 2. Went into the “Options,” then “Controls.” I made sure I had the hero selected that I wanted to adjust (I started with Soldier: 76, since he’s a good baseline). I then found the “Sensitivity” setting and changed it to percentage, typed in ‘12.0’ (That 0.120 We multiplied by 100 of course). I made sure to save the settings.

Testing and Fine-Tuning
This is important! I didn’t just jump into a competitive match. I loaded up the Practice Range and spent a good 10-15 minutes just shooting at bots. My first impression? Pretty darn close!
I still felt like I needed to tweak it a tiny bit. It felt a tad slow, so I bumped it up to 12.5. I kept testing and adjusting in small increments until it felt just right. It’s all about finding what feels natural for you.
Hero-Specific Adjustments
One thing I realized is that I might want slightly different sensitivities for different heroes. Like, I might want a bit higher sens on Tracer or Genji, but keep it lower for Widowmaker. So, I’m probably going to go through and fine-tune the sens for each hero individually. It’s a bit of a process, but it’s worth it for that consistent aim.
And that’s it! My very own practical record, I hope this helps you guys too!
