Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little project today. I’m a huge baseball fan, and I wanted to easily compare player stats from the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies game.

First, I hit up the internet to see how I could go about finding the stats. I mean, there are so many websites, but the ones I’ve seen only shows very simple data, which does not meet my desire.
So I thought, “Let me record every detail about this match”.
Detailed Recording
I opened up a simple notepad. Nothing fancy, just something to jot down my findings, I started manually listing the players from both teams and to make sure everything in order.
Then, the real work began, It took me some time to fill in all the relevant stats beside each player’s name.

- Hits
- Runs
- RBIs
It was super repetitive, just copying numbers and double-checking. I felt like I was back in school, doing some boring homework assignment!
Achieving the End Goal
After what felt like forever (probably just an hour, honestly), I had this detailed, albeit messy, comparison of player stats. It wasn’t pretty, but it was exactly what I wanted. I could quickly glance and see who had a good game and who, well, didn’t.
Could I have found this info online somewhere? It’s a bit tough and I don’t like the data format presented, you know. But doing it myself made it way easier to understand. Plus, I have this nice little record I can refer back to anytime. That’s pretty cool, I guess.
Anyway, that’s my little data adventure for today. Not exactly glamorous, but satisfying in its own nerdy way!
