Alright, buckle up, ’cause I’m about to spill the beans on my Vow of the Disciple loot table deep dive. Man, this raid was a beast, and figuring out the drops was half the battle.

So, it all started with my clan getting together, hyped for day one. We jumped in blind, not knowing what to expect. Let me tell you, the encounters were something else. We were wiping left and right, but slowly, painstakingly, we started piecing things together. First thing we noticed? The loot wasn’t just raining down. You really had to earn your keep.
After the first encounter, Acquisition, everyone was scrambling to see what dropped. A couple of guys got the Lubrae’s Ruin glaive, which was cool, but I walked away with some armor and a few weapon parts. That’s when I started taking notes. I wanted to see if there was a pattern, some kind of rhyme or reason to this whole loot situation.
We pushed on, fighting our way through the Caretaker encounter. This one was brutal, especially learning the timing with the obelisk. Again, loot drops were… interesting. Some got the new auto rifle, Submission, which looked pretty sweet. I got another piece of armor. Getting consistent armor drops was helpful because I wanted to try and get a full set.
The third encounter, Exhibition, really threw us for a loop. The mechanics were complex, with a lot of moving parts, and the pressure to keep the buffs active was intense. By this point, my notepad was filling up. I was tracking who got what, and trying to find any correlation between roles and drops. No dice. Seemed pretty random.
Then came Rhulk. Oh, Rhulk. That final boss fight was an epic test of skill and coordination. After what felt like a million wipes, we finally took him down. The loot chest felt like hitting the jackpot. Except, not everyone got the jackpot. Some got guns, some got armor, and a few of us, myself included, got… nothing but glimmer and shards. Talk about a letdown.

Over the next few weeks, we ran the raid multiple times. I kept meticulously logging every drop. I compared notes with other raiders, scoured the forums, and even watched a bunch of YouTube videos. Here’s what I figured out, based on my experience:
- Each encounter has a specific loot pool. You aren’t going to get the glaive from Rhulk, for example.
- Some weapons are more common than others. Submission, the kinetic SMG, seemed to drop pretty frequently. The glaive, not so much.
- Armor drops are pretty consistent. You’ll usually get at least one piece of armor per run.
- Rhulk has the best chance for the exotic. But it’s still RNG, so don’t get your hopes up too high.
It’s not a perfect science, and there’s still a lot of randomness involved. But this knowledge really helped me focus my efforts and plan my runs. I knew what encounters to target if I was after a specific weapon, and I knew what to expect going in.
In the end, I got everything I wanted from the raid (eventually!). It took a lot of time, patience, and a whole lot of raid runs, but it was worth it. Vow of the Disciple is an awesome raid with some killer loot. Good luck, Guardians, and may the RNG be ever in your favor.
