Alright, let me tell you about getting those Scarletthorns in Wuthering Waves. It wasn’t exactly a walk in the park, you know?

So, I was trying to get one of my characters leveled up, needed that ascension material. Checked the requirements and boom, Scarletthorn. Never even heard of it before, honestly. First thought, where the heck do I find this stuff?
I started just running around the map. Figured it sounded like some kind of plant, probably red, maybe spiky? Checked near rocky areas, forests, even some caves I remembered. Nothing. Just the usual flowers and ores. Wasted a good chunk of time doing that, got into a few scraps I didn’t need to.
Then I remembered seeing some weird looking plants somewhere specific, kind of glowing red, usually guarded by some tougher monsters. Had a hunch. So, I geared up a bit better this time, made sure my team was ready for a fight.
I headed over to that area near the Tiger’s Maw Mine, I think it was? Up on those plateaus. Sure enough, after beating down a couple of those annoying Havoc Monsters, I spotted them. Tucked away near a cliff edge. Scarletthorn, exactly like I pictured. Glowing faintly red, definitely thorny looking.
Man, collecting them felt good. Wasn’t a huge amount in one spot, maybe four or five nodes. So, I had to spend some time marking the spots on my map and figuring out the respawn times. Had to run around that whole zone quite a bit over the next day or two.

- Found some high up on ledges.
- Some were guarded pretty heavily.
- Others were just sitting there, thankfully.
Took a bit of patience, running back and forth, fighting the same mobs. But eventually, I got enough. Went straight back to the character screen, hit that ascend button. Seeing that level cap go up? Yeah, that felt worth the grind. It’s always satisfying finding that one specific thing you need after searching high and low.
