Alright, let’s talk about this Monopoly Go Sphinx Scramble thing. I heard about it from my grandson, the one always glued to his phone. He says it’s some kinda game, you know, like that Monopoly board game we used to play, but on the phone. Kids these days, always with their gadgets!
So, this Sphinx Scramble, from what I gather, it’s like a special event in the game. Started on April 8th, they say. My grandson was all excited, talking about free dice and coins. Free dice and coins, can you believe it? Back in my day, you had to work hard for your money, no freebies!
- It’s a three-day event, so it don’t last forever.
- They got like 49 levels of prizes, or “tiers” as they call it. Sounds fancy, huh?
- You can get coins, lots of ‘em. My grandson said something about Fountain Partners and getting over four thousand coins. That’s a lot of pretend money, I tell ya.
- And the dice, oh boy, the dice! He said you can get over fifteen thousand free dice rolls. Fifteen thousand! What would you even do with all them dice?
Now, I don’t really understand how it all works. My grandson tried to explain it, but it’s all too confusing for an old woman like me. He was tapping and swiping on the screen so fast, my head was spinning. Something about landing on railroads and properties, just like the real Monopoly game, but with extra stuff going on because it’s the Sphinx Scramble event.
He was showing me pictures on his phone. Little cartoon pyramids and sphinxes, all colorful and flashy. Said you gotta complete challenges or something to move up the tiers and get the prizes. Sounds like a whole lot of work for some pretend coins and dice, if you ask me.
But he seemed happy, so I guess it’s alright. Keeps him busy, better than running around causing mischief, I suppose. He kept saying he needed to get to the next level to get more dice, so he could play more. It’s like a never-ending cycle, this game.
I heard him talking to his friends about it too. They were all comparing how many dice they got and what level they reached. It’s like a competition, see who can get the most free stuff. Reminds me of when we used to have pie-eating contests at the county fair. Except instead of pie, it’s dice and coins.
Free dice rolls seem to be the big prize everyone wants. My grandson was saying how the more dice you have, the more you can play, the more chances you have to win more stuff. It’s all about the dice, apparently.
And those coins, the Fountain Partners coins, he was excited about those too. Said he could use them to build up his properties or something. Like I said, it’s all too complicated for me. But he seemed to know what he was doing. He was talking about strategy and planning his moves, just like a real Monopoly game, I guess.
So, this Monopoly Go Sphinx Scramble, it’s a big deal for these kids. They love their free dice and coins. And I guess as long as they’re having fun and not causing trouble, it’s alright. It’s just a game, after all. But I still think it’s a bit silly, all this fuss over pretend money and dice. Back in my day, we played with real things, not this digital stuff.
But hey, times change, right? And who am I to judge? If my grandson enjoys playing this Monopoly Go Sphinx Scramble, then that’s good enough for me. Just as long as he doesn’t spend all day on that phone and forgets to come visit his old grandma.
This whole thing just makes me think about how different things are now. We used to play with sticks and stones, and now kids have these fancy games on their phones. But I guess fun is fun, no matter how you look at it. And if this Sphinx Scramble is what the kids are into these days, then so be it.
