Alright, let’s talk about this wrestling stuff, the WWE, you know? My grandkids watch it all the time, so I kinda pick things up here and there. Seems like there’s always somethin’ new happenin’, folks comin’ and goin’ faster than chickens in the yard when a hawk flies over.
So, they got this WWE signings thing goin’ on, right? Means they’re gettin’ new wrestlers, or movin’ ’em around like checkers on a board. Heard tell of somethin’ called a “transfer window.” Sounds fancy, but it just means they’re shufflin’ the deck, movin’ wrestlers from one show to another, like from that Raw to that SmackDown. Don’t ask me what the difference is, they all just smack each other around in tights, far as I can tell.
Now, there’s this girl, Shayna Baszler. Tough as nails, that one. They say she used to be a fighter, kickin’ and punchin’ before she even got to wrestlin’. She’s on that Raw show now, with some group called “Pure Fusion Collective”. Don’t know what that means, but sounds like a bunch of trouble if you ask me.
And then there’s them fellas, The New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, they are. Always jumpin’ around and clappin’, happy as clams. They’re a tag team, which means they fight together, like a couple of peas in a pod. Also on that Raw show, seems like everybody wants to be on Raw these days.
- Raw Wrestlers: Shayna Baszler, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods)
- SmackDown Wrestlers: Well, they didn’t say much about who’s on SmackDown, did they? Just that they’re movin’ folks around.
But it ain’t all sunshine and roses, you know? Sometimes they let wrestlers go, fire ’em, like they done with that Baron Corbin fella. Used to be a champion, they say. And that girl, Indi Hartwell, and another one, Tegan Nox. Guess they weren’t smackin’ folks around good enough, or maybe they just got too old and creaky, like me. Happens to the best of us, I reckon.
Now, they got this new thing, WWE ID. Sounds like they’re tryin’ to find new wrestlers from smaller places, give ’em some money and help ’em get better. Smart, I guess. Always needin’ fresh meat for the grinder, ain’t they?
Heard somethin’ ’bout that Cody Rhodes fella, the champion. He’s gettin’ ready to fight some fella named Kevin Owens. Sounds like a big deal, folks gettin’ all worked up about it. Probably gonna be a lot of smackin’ and yellin’.
And then there’s this whole Bloodline thing. Big ol’ family of wrestlers, seems like. Always causin’ trouble, stirrin’ up the pot. They say they added a new fella to the group, someone important. And if that Roman Reigns fella, he’s the big boss of the Bloodline, if he moves to Raw, then the whole dang family’s gonna follow him, like a bunch of ducklings after their mama. Gonna be a whole lotta drama on Raw, I tell ya.
And somethin’ ’bout the WWE joinin’ up with somethin’ called UFC, somethin’ to do with money and business, I reckon. Don’t really understand it all, but sounds like they’re tryin’ to make more money, ain’t everybody? But they still let some folks go, which ain’t right, if you ask me.
So, that’s the WWE roster situation, as best as I can figure it out. Folks comin’, folks goin’, folks smackin’ each other around. It’s a whole lot of commotion, but I guess that’s what folks like these days. Keeps ’em entertained, I suppose. Me? I’d rather watch the chickens.
WWE roster changes are always happenin’, it’s like the weather, always changin’. You just gotta keep your eyes peeled and try to keep up. Or don’t, it ain’t gonna change the price of eggs, that’s for sure.
