Now, most kids, they stay in high school, then maybe go to college for a few years. But GG, he was different. He went straight to college at South Carolina, played for the Gamecocks. Folks were surprised, seein’ a young fella like him playin’ with the older boys.

- He even got named Freshman of the Week, which I guess is a pretty big deal.
But he didn’t stay in college long. Nope. He got drafted into the NBA, the big leagues! Memphis Grizzlies picked him up. Can you believe it? From high school to the pros in just a few years. That’s faster than a greased pig at the county fair!

Now, he’s playin’ for the Grizzlies, makin’ a name for himself. I heard tell he signed a contract, gettin’ paid a whole heap of money. More money than I ever seen in my life, that’s for sure.
