Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this HuaXu Academy thing, which department is good, you ask? Well, ain’t nobody ever told me straight, so I gotta piece it together myself, ya know? Like figurin’ out which hen lays the biggest eggs, it takes some lookin’ around.
First off, they got all sorts of fancy names for these departments. Sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me, but I guess it matters to some folks. They got somethin’ called the “Journal of Jinzhou,” sounds important, right? Folks keep jabberin’ ’bout it, sayin’ it’s got quests and quizzes and whatnot. Somethin’ ’bout helpin’ some gal named Yingzhu with her journal. Now, I ain’t never met this Yingzhu, but she sounds like a busybody, always needin’ help with her writin’.
- They say you gotta talk to her and some fella named Xingzhu, back and forth, back and forth. Sounds like a dog chasin’ its tail if ya ask me. But I reckon it’s important for learnin’ or somethin’.
- And these quests, they ain’t no simple chores like milkin’ a cow. They got phases, like the moon, I guess. One minute you’re doin’ one thing, the next you gotta do somethin’ else. Keeps you on your toes, they say.
- Then there’s the quiz, mind you. They say the answers are in the journal itself, makes sense. So it’s kind of like looking for a needle in a haystack, only the haystack is a book, I’m guessing.
Now, from what I hear, this “Journal of Jinzhou” ain’t just one thing. It’s got different parts, like a cow got different parts, ya know? There’s “Vo.1” which they say is a “Side Quest.” Sounds like somethin’ extra, not the main course, like the gizzard instead of the chicken breast. But they say it’s important all the same, helps ya get the hang of things, I suppose.
And this whole thing started happenin’ back in May, they say. May 29th to be exact. That’s when folks started helpin’ Yingzhu with her journal. Then in June, the 6th and 7th, more stuff happened. More talkin’ to Yingzhu and Xingzhu, more questin’ and quizizin’. And it went on all the way to November, the 16th! That’s a long time to be fussin’ over a journal, if ya ask me. Must be one heck of a journal.
So, which department is it in? Well, that’s where it gets tricky. They don’t just come out and say it, do they? But seein’ as it’s all about writin’ and learnin’, I’d reckon it’s gotta do with the smarty-pants department. The one where they teach ya how to read and write and think real hard. Maybe they call it the “Literature Department” or the “History Department” or some such fancy name. But in my book, it’s just the place where they make ya use your brain more than your hands.
And from the way folks talk, it sounds like it’s a pretty important department. I mean, if they’re makin’ folks go on quests and take quizzes, it must be somethin’ serious. It’s like when the county inspector comes to town. Everyone gets to work, tidy and quiet. This journal thing, it’s got a similar feel, so I’m betting on it being a crucial part of the academy, like the heart is to a body or the engine to a tractor.
So, there ya have it. That’s my two cents on this HuaXu Academy and its departments. It ain’t much, but it’s the best I can figure, listenin’ to all the gossip and whatnot. And if you ask me, which department is best? Well, it’s probably the one that teaches ya somethin’ useful, like how to grow a good crop or fix a leaky roof. But these city folk, they got different ideas, I guess. They like their journals and their quests and their quizzes. To each their own, I always say.
Anyway, if you wanna know more, you gotta go ask them smarty-pants yourself. I’m just an old woman tryin’ to make sense of it all, like tryin’ to herd cats in a thunderstorm.
