Alright, so you wanna know about the next WWE thingy, right? The next wrasslin’ show? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I heard. Folks are talkin’ about some kinda Saturday Night Main Event. Yeah, that’s it. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like somethin’ you’d see on a big ol’ TV, not just down at the town hall.
Now, they say it’s gonna be on December 14th, 2024. That’s right around Christmas time, ain’t it? Maybe Santa Claus will be there, throwin’ chairs or somethin’. Wouldn’t that be a hoot? Anyway, they’re havin’ it in some place called Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Sounds important, must be a big place. And it’s in Uniondale, New York. That’s way up north, gotta bundle up if you’re goin’!
They’re callin’ it a “Premium Live Event” now. Lands sakes, these city folks and their fancy words. Back in my day, we just called ‘em wrasslin’ matches. But I reckon it’s a big deal, seein’ as it’s gonna be on that Peacock thing and on NBC too. Everyone can watch it, even your Aunt Millie who can barely turn on the TV!
This fella, Nick Khan, he’s the big boss at WWE, he says big sports things are better on Saturday nights. I guess he knows what he’s talkin’ about. He’s the one makin’ the money, after all. And before the wrestlin’ starts, they have this pre-show thing. They talk and talk and talk, analyzin’ this and that. Like they know what them wrasslers are gonna do! Heck, half the time the wrasslers don’t even know what they’re gonna do!
They say this Saturday Night Main Event is one of the big ones, like WrestleMania, that’s the real big one, everyone knows about that one. Then there’s the Royal Rumble, where they throw each other over the ropes like a bunch of chickens fightin’ for feed. And Survivor Series, that sounds serious, like folks gonna get hurt. And Money in the Bank, where they gotta climb a ladder to get a briefcase full of money? I don’t know what that’s about, but it seems like a lot of fuss for a little bit of money.
Now, they had some other shows earlier this year. Folks were talkin’ about Day 1 in San Diego back in January. And there was somethin’ called Royal Rumble in 2021 down in Florida. And some other ones, Vengeance Day and Elimination Chamber. Too many for an old lady like me to keep track of, I tell ya! They have so many these days, seems like they’re wrasslin’ every week!
- Saturday Night Main Event: December 14, 2024, Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York
- Money in the Bank: July 6, 2024, Scotiabank Arena, Toronto
So, there ya have it. That’s the lowdown on the next wrasslin’ show. If you wanna watch it, tune in on December 14th. Me? I’ll probably be knittin’ by the fire. All that shoutin’ and jumpin’ around is too much for my old bones. But if you like that sort of thing, well, you go right ahead and enjoy it. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if someone gets a chair to the head!
I heard some folks talkin’ about a schedule for the whole year. Seems like they got these things planned out way in advance. They got their RAW and Smackdown shows every week, and then these bigger shows sprinkled throughout the year. It’s a whole business, you know? More than just two fellas in a ring tryin’ to beat each other up. There’s money and contracts and all sorts of things involved. Like I always say, it’s a lot of fuss for a lot of sweat.
Anyway, I hope that answers your question. I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just listen to what folks are sayin’ down at the diner. But from what I hear, that Saturday Night Main Event is gonna be a big one. So mark your calendars and get your popcorn ready. It’s gonna be a wild ride!
And remember, it’s all just for show, don’t go tryin’ any of them moves at home, ya hear? You’ll break somethin’ for sure. These young fellas train for years, and even then, they get hurt sometimes. So just sit back, relax, and let them do the wrasslin’. You just do the watchin’.
