Well, let me tell ya, there’s a lotta folks out there tryin’ to figure out them Destiny 2 public events, especially the ones on Neomuna. It’s all random-like, and don’t let nobody tell ya different. Ain’t no easy way to know when these events’ll pop up, but I’m gonna try and explain it to ya in a way that’s simple enough.
First thing you gotta know is, them Vex Strike Force events—well, they’re like tryin’ to find a needle in a haystack. They don’t happen regular-like. Sometimes you’ll be sittin’ there, waitin’ for hours, and nothing happens. And I mean nothin’. And then other times, you might get a Vex incursion event like every five hours or so, but it could take longer than that too. Sometimes, it’s even like waitin’ for the cows to come home; you don’t know if it’s comin’ or not.
Now, don’t go thinkin’ this stuff happens on just any part of Neomuna, neither. There’s a specific spot where these things pop up. The Vex Incursion can happen over at Zephyr Concourse or Liming Harbor—those are the main spots. But even that ain’t guaranteed. If you got any luck, you might catch one there, but if not, you’ll be waitin’ like a squirrel for winter. They don’t show up on any kinda regular schedule, it’s just luck o’ the draw.
If you wanna know more about how the events work, I’ll tell ya. The Vex Incursion is something called a Supernumerary Blitz, or some fancy term like that. But don’t get all mixed up in the words, it’s just a big ol’ fight where you gotta shoot a lotta stuff. When one of them events happens, the Vex will start poppin’ up, and they’ll be comin’ at ya from all sides. You gotta get ‘em before they get ya, and that’s the key to making sure it’s a success.
Then there’s that Cabal Injection Rig event. This one’s a bit trickier, like when you try to fix a fence that’s half fallen down. First, you gotta be in the Ahimsa Park area to even see it happen. The key part is killin’ them Psions. When you do, you’ll see a vent light up on that big ol’ machine in the middle. You gotta shoot it and blow it up. But don’t go shootin’ every vent, no ma’am. Only three vents need to blow up to trigger the heroic stage. It’s a bit of a mess if your team don’t know what they’re doin’, but that’s part of the fun, I reckon.
How to Tell When an Event is Gonna Start
Now, here’s a little trick I learned from the other players. Public events on Neomuna will show up on your map about five minutes before they start. That gives ya a little time to get yourself ready and head over to where it’s gonna happen. But don’t go wanderin’ off too far, cause you’ll miss it if you blink.
But, like I said, there ain’t no telling when they’ll happen. Sometimes they’ll show up one after the other, and sometimes it’s like you’re waitin’ for a rainstorm that don’t come. So if you’re lookin’ for them public events on Neomuna, well, you best be patient. Might have to check back every couple hours, and even then, you may not get lucky.
Tips to Make Your Life Easier
- Keep an eye on Discord servers – there’s folks there who will send out alerts when an event is about to start, so you can make sure you don’t miss it.
- If you see a Vex Strike Force poppin’ up, get to Zephyr Concourse or Liming Harbor quick-like, but remember it might be a while before you see it again.
- For the Cabal Injection Rig, make sure your team knows what they’re doin’ with them vents. Don’t shoot the wrong ones, or it’s all for nothin’.
Now, I won’t lie, them public events can be a little frustrating, but there’s somethin’ special about it when they finally show up. It’s like findin’ a good apple tree after searchin’ the whole orchard. Sometimes it’s worth the wait, other times, you might just end up sittin’ there with nothin’ to show for it. But that’s the way these things go, ain’t it?
So, keep your eyes peeled, get your team together, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll get in on one of them public events before the day’s out. Who knows, you might even get lucky and catch a Vex Incursion or that tough ol’ Cabal Injection Rig event. Just don’t go expectin’ it too soon—things on Neomuna don’t happen easy.
