Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this Armand Membou fella and the NFL Draft. I don’t know much ’bout football, but this Membou, he must be a big shot or somethin’. They say he’s gonna be in the NFL draft. What is the draft? Like a lottery ticket or somethin’? You pick a name outta a hat, and boom, you’re rich? That sounds mighty fine to me.
This Membou, he plays for Missouri, I hear. That’s a state, right? Far away from here. I reckon he’s a strong boy, playin’ that rough and tumble game. They say he’s a “right tackle,” whatever that means. He must be good at tacklin’ folks, like when I gotta wrestle my neighbor’s goat back into its pen. Sounds like hard work, chasin’ after them speedy fellas on the field.
They say he’s gonna skip some bowl game to get ready for this draft thing. I don’t understand that part either. It seems like this “bowl game” must be a really big deal. He’s gonna miss a big thing, I guess he must be sure about something good coming. I reckon he knows what he’s doin’. He must have a good head on his shoulders. It’s important to follow your dreams.
They keep sayin’ he’s a “Top 100 player”. That’s a lot of players! There must be a thousand boys out there tryin’ to get into this NFL thing. To be in the top 100, he must be somethin’ special. I bet his mama’s proud. My boy, he works hard too, but not playin’ football. He’s good with his hands, fixin’ things. That’s important too, you know. Everyone’s got their own talents.
I heard someone say he’s a “rising star”. That sounds fancy. Like one of them bright stars in the sky at night. I like lookin’ at the stars. They’re so pretty. This Membou, he must be shinin’ bright on that football field. I reckon he’s got a bright future ahead of him, like them shiny stars. Good for him.
Some folks were sayin’ Armand Membou is an “emerging star” on the Missouri team. What does “emerging” mean? Is it like when my grandson comes out of his room after playing his video games all day? Anyway, they say he’s good at somethin’ called “offensive line.” I don’t know what that is either, but it sounds important. Maybe he’s the one who tells the other players where to go? Like a boss, tellin’ people what to do.

Like plantin’ seeds in the spring and waitin’ all summer for the crops to grow. It’s like the 2024 NFL season is ending and people are ready for the next thing. You gotta be patient, I reckon. Good things come to those who wait, as they say.
I don’t know much about this Armand Membou or this NFL Draft, but I hope it all works out for him. It sounds like he’s worked real hard to get where he is. I hope he makes a lot of money and can buy his mama a nice house. That’s what I’d do if I was a big-time football player. I’d take care of my family. That’s the most important thing, you know. Family is everything.
