Well, lemme tell ya, this here MLB The Show 24, it ain’t like them old games we used to play. Used to be, you could just tell your agent, “Hey, I ain’t happy here, get me outta here!” and poof, you’d be on another team faster than a greased piglet at the county fair. But now? Oh honey, it ain’t that simple no more.
Now, I hear tell there ain’t no button to just ask for a trade no more in this MLB The Show 24. They took it out, them game makers. Why, I don’t know. Makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine. If you wanna get traded in MLB The Show 24, you gotta do some real finaglin’.
Figure Out How to Get Traded
Now, if you’re playing that Franchise mode, they say you can force a trade. Sounds like cheatin’ to me, but hey, I ain’t one to judge. You gotta go into them settings, you know, where all them numbers and things are. And there’s somethin’ called “Force Trades.” Turn that on, and then you can go to some other screen and swap players around like you’re tradin’ baseball cards down at the general store.
- Go to settings. I told ya, them settings.
- Find “Force Trades” thing.
- Turn it on. Just do it.
- Then go swap them players.
But if you’re playin’ that Road to the Show, where you’re just one little player tryin’ to make it big, well, that’s a whole different ball game. You’re stuck, like a fly on a flypaper. They removed the request trade option, so you can’t get traded in MLB The Show 24 in this mode.
Callin’ Your Agent
Now, they say you can still call your agent. Like he’s gonna do somethin’. You go to that main menu, you know, the first thing you see when you start the game? Then you gotta find your player, and there’s somethin’ about “interactions.” Then you look for “contact agent” or somethin’ like that. Sounds like a lot of work just to talk to some fella who probably ain’t gonna do nothin’ for ya anyway.
But hey, you can call him. Maybe he’ll give you some advice. Or maybe he’ll just tell ya to keep your head down and keep playin’. That’s what they always tell ya, ain’t it? “Keep your head down, keep workin’ hard, and good things will happen.” Well, sometimes good things don’t happen no matter how hard you work. Sometimes you just gotta find a way to make ’em happen yourself. Even if you can’t get traded in MLB The Show 24.
My Two Cents on MLB The Show 24
This whole thing, it just don’t sit right with me. Why take out somethin’ that was in the other games? It’s like buyin’ a new truck and findin’ out it don’t have a steering wheel. What’s the point? Seems like these game makers, they just like to change things for the sake of changin’ things. They don’t care about what the folks playin’ the game want. They removed the request trade option, so sad.
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy video games. We just had a stick and a ball, and we made our own fun. And if you didn’t like the team you were on, you just went and played with someone else. Simple as that. No need for all this “force trades” and “contact agent” nonsense. And we didn’t have MLB The Show 24, that’s for sure.
But I guess that’s the way of the world now. Everything’s gettin’ more complicated, even the simple things. Just gotta learn to roll with the punches, I suppose. It’s hard to get traded in MLB The Show 24 now. Or maybe find a new game to play. One where they don’t take out the things you like just for the heck of it. One that remembers what people who play the game want.
More Stuff You Might Wanna Know
Oh, and I almost forgot. Some folks was askin’ about how to change your gear and stuff. Well, you gotta go to the player tab, then “appearance,” then “equipment style,” then “batting gear,” then somethin’ about “base runner protective gear.” There’s your wrist guards and all that. Don’t know why you’d wanna change it, but there ya go. It’s another thing to do since you can’t get traded in MLB The Show 24 easily.
Anyways, that’s all I got for ya today. Hope this helps some of y’all out there who are tryin’ to figure out this MLB The Show 24 mess. Just remember, it ain’t like the old days. You gotta be a little more creative now if you wanna get what you want. And maybe, just maybe, them game makers will listen to us folks and put things back the way they ought to be. But I ain’t holdin’ my breath.
