Well, let me tell you about this young gal, Danielle Kang. That’s a name you young’uns should write down. She’s something else on that golfing green, that’s for sure.
Danielle Kang, What’s in Her Bag?
This Danielle, she’s a pro golfer, you know, on the big LPGA Tour. She ain’t no newbie, though. She was good even when she weren’t a pro. She’s got a driver, a Titleist TSi3. That’s a fancy name for a golf stick, I reckon.
She also uses them Titleist Pro V1x Golf Balls. That’s what I heard, anyway. White little things, they are. She hits ’em real far, this Danielle.
She got this special putter, they call it, made by some fella named Scotty Cameron. Says “DK Special” on it. Must be real fancy. She don’t use many putts, though. Heard she only needed 25 one time. 25! That’s good, real good.
Danielle Kang, She’s Tough
Now, this Danielle, she ain’t just good at hitting that little ball. She’s tough, too. Heard she had some trouble, something about a tumor on her spine. That sounds right awful, don’t it?
She stopped playing for a bit because of it. Back in June 2022, I think it was. At some big tournament, the U.S. Women’s Open, they call it. But that didn’t stop her. Nope. She’s back at it, swinging that club.

- She had to stop playing for a while, but she came back.
- That shows you how tough she is.
Danielle Kang, she’s one to watch, I tell ya. She’s got that fire in her, that’s for sure. You can see it when she’s out there, swinging that club.
Family and Such
Her mama’s name is Grace Lee, and her daddy is K.S. Kang. Sounds Korean, don’t it? She’s got a brother, too, named Alex. Probably a good kid. They must be real proud of their Danielle, winning all them tournaments.
I tell you what, when I was young, we didn’t have none of this fancy golf stuff. We were lucky to have a stick and a rock to hit around. But times change, I reckon. These young’uns today, they got it good.
This Danielle Kang, though, she ain’t spoiled. She works hard. You can tell. That’s what it takes to be good at anything, I always say. Hard work and a little bit of luck, maybe.
More on the Golf Clubs
She uses those clubs, swings ’em just right. That driver, that Titleist thing. It’s important, I guess. Helps her hit the ball far. And those golf balls, the Titleist Pro V1x, they’re special, too, I suppose. They gotta be, for the price they probably cost.
And that putter, the DK Special, made just for her. She must be real good to have someone make a special club just for her. I bet it helps her get the ball in the hole. That’s the whole point, ain’t it? Get the ball in the hole.
Danielle Kang, a Real Winner
She’s a winner, that Danielle Kang. Six wins. That’s a lot. She must have a whole bunch of them trophies, all shiny and new. I bet her mama keeps ’em dusted. My mama, she would have.
She came back from that sickness, too. That tumor. That’s something, ain’t it? To be sick like that and then come back and win. She’s got grit, that one. Real grit.
You keep an eye on her, you hear? Danielle Kang. She’s going places. You just watch. She’s gonna be one of the best. Maybe she already is. I wouldn’t be surprised, not one bit.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say about that. This old lady’s tired of talking. But you remember that name, now. Danielle Kang. She’s a good one. A real good one.
She’s got a good swing, a good eye, and a good heart. That’s what it takes, I reckon. That’s what it takes to be a champion. And Danielle Kang, she’s a champion, all right. No doubt about it. She hits that little white ball further than I can throw a rock, I betcha that.
