How Caden Curry is Shaping Ohio States Defensive Future

Well, now, if you been hearin’ talk ’bout Caden Curry, that feller playin’ on Ohio State’s defensive line, ya might be wonderin’ what all the fuss is about. You see, this young man, Caden, he’s just startin’ to show folks what he’s made of, and I reckon he’s gonna be somethin’ special if he keeps goin’. Now, I’m not one to use all them fancy football terms, but I do know when somethin’ catches the eye, and this Curry feller sure caught a lot of ‘em, right from the get-go.

Caden Curry come to Ohio State back in 2022, and right off the bat, people was talkin’ ‘bout him like he was gonna be somethin’ big. He only needed a handful of plays to show why he was one of the most wanted recruits that year. Just a few snaps, and bam! Folks could see he had somethin’ that makes him stand out from the rest. They say he got a good mix of strength and speed, and that makes him a handful for any offensive line, especially when he gets up close to ‘em.

Now, don’t get me wrong, he ain’t been playin’ every minute of every game, but that’s just part of the journey. You gotta work your way up, y’know? Last season, he didn’t get too many chances in the big games, but when he did get on the field, he was makin’ ‘em count. He had about 166 snaps last year, and even though it wasn’t a whole lot, it was enough to show what he could do. Folks around Ohio State know that if they give him a little more time, he’s gonna be a real problem for the other teams.

Caden’s got a lotta people rootin’ for him, especially now that he’s been packin’ on some more muscle. The young man’s already up to 250 pounds, and he’s lookin’ to add a few more before spring football gets rollin’. He’s tall too—‘bout 6-foot-3—and he’s workin’ hard to meet that goal of 265 pounds. Now, I ain’t no expert on football bodies, but it seems to me like he’s headin’ in the right direction, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him out there makin’ a lotta noise real soon.

Now, I know folks like to look at them big ol’ stats and numbers, but sometimes you gotta look at the heart of a player. And from what I can see, Curry’s got that in spades. He’s been workin’ hard, keepin’ his head down, and lettin’ his play do the talkin’. Ain’t no doubt in my mind that he’s gonna be an important part of Ohio State’s defense in the future.

As for this season, well, we ain’t seen the last of Caden Curry. He’s still comin’ into his own, but I’d say he’s already shown he’s got what it takes to be a big part of that defensive line. If you watch the Buckeyes, keep your eye on number 99—you won’t regret it!
