Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to get into boxing for a while now, and I thought, what better way to spice things up than with some Dragonball-themed boxing gloves? I mean, who wouldn’t want to feel like a Super Saiyan while throwing punches, right? So, I started this little project to find the perfect pair of Dragonball boxing gloves and maybe customize them.
First, I hit up a bunch of online stores, searching for any boxing gloves with Dragonball designs. I checked out the usual spots and even some specialty shops. You wouldn’t believe the stuff I found! There were some pretty cool ones, but I wanted something that really screamed “Goku” or “Vegeta.”
- Searched online stores for Dragonball themed boxing gloves.
- Browsed through general sports stores and some specialty boxing gear shops.
- Found a few options, but nothing that really stood out as unique.
Next, I thought about customizing a regular pair of gloves. I looked into the sizes and weights that would be best for me. A buddy of mine who’s into boxing told me to measure my hand. “Measure the circumference of your preferred hand at the widest point without your thumb,” he said. I did that, divided it by 2.7 or something, and figured out my size in French inches. Apparently, since I’m over 140 lbs, 12 oz gloves should be good for me.
Choosing the Right Size
Figuring out the size was a bit of a hassle, but it’s super important. You want the gloves to fit snugly, to protect your hands, but not so tight that you can barely move. I measured my hand a couple of times to make sure I got it right. It’s kind of funny, you know, feeling like a tailor but for boxing gloves.
Then came the fun part – designing! I sketched out a few ideas, trying to incorporate the iconic Dragonball colors and symbols. I decided to go with a design that had the classic orange and blue, with the Capsule Corp logo on one glove and Goku’s “Go” kanji on the other. I even thought about adding some scouter designs on the wrist straps.
I reached out to a few custom gear makers to see if they could bring my design to life. It took some back and forth, discussing materials, colors, and stitching, but finally, I found someone who got my vision. We finalized the design, and I placed the order. It felt like forever, but after a few weeks, they arrived. They looked awesome! The colors were vibrant, the stitching was solid, and they fit perfectly.
Finally, I took them to the gym for a test run. Let me tell you, it’s a whole different feeling when you’re hitting the heavy bag with gloves that look like they came straight out of the Dragonball universe. I felt more motivated, more powerful, almost like I could go Super Saiyan at any moment! The gloves held up great, and I got a few compliments from other people at the gym. They were definitely a conversation starter.
So yeah, that’s my little journey of getting Dragonball boxing gloves. It was a bit of work, but totally worth it. Now, every time I train, I get a little extra boost of energy and a reminder of one of my favorite animes. If you’re a Dragonball fan and you’re into boxing, I highly recommend doing something like this. It makes the whole experience even more fun and personal.
