Man, I’ve been all over the place trying to get my hands on some of those Anthony Edwards rookie cards. You know, the ones from Panini? I heard they’re a pretty big deal, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. So first I went ahead and looked up cards I might be interested in.
Started off just browsing around, checking out different websites and forums to see which cards were popular. I was mostly eyeing those silver Prizm cards because they looked shiny and cool, haha. Then I decided to expand a little and look at some of the colored ones, you know, just to mix things up. I also see people talking about 2020-21 Panini Crown Royale Kaboom so I put that on my list, too.
The Hunt Begins
I started hitting up local card shops and even went to a few sports card conventions. It was kind of a wild goose chase, but I managed to snag a couple of decent Prizm cards. One of them was in really good condition, which made me feel like I struck gold, lol. I also grabbed some “Rated Rookie” cards from 2020 Donruss, those were going for about $4.73, pretty cheap.
Diving Deeper
Next, I thought I should get a bit more serious, so I started reading up on how to actually value these things. Found out there are over 2,000 different Anthony Edwards cards from his rookie season! I learned that his performance on the court can make the prices go up or down, which is kind of obvious but still good to know.
Keeping Track
To keep track of everything, I made a little spreadsheet. I listed down the cards I bought, how much I paid for them, and what their current market value is. It’s not super fancy, but it helps me see if I’m making any smart moves or just throwing my money away, haha.
The Payoff?
So, is it worth it? Honestly, it’s been a fun ride. I’ve learned a lot about basketball cards, met some interesting people, and got a little collection going. Plus, seeing Anthony Edwards doing well on the court makes me feel like maybe, just maybe, these cards will be worth something someday. But even if they don’t, I’ve had a blast hunting them down. And hey, it’s a pretty cool hobby to have, right?
I’m still keeping an eye out for those rare ones, especially the Kaboom cards. Who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky one day. Until then, I’ll just keep enjoying the process and see where this little adventure takes me.
