So, I’ve been trying to get back in shape, and I stumbled upon this thing called Arka Gym. I’d heard some buzz about it, mostly about how it’s supposed to be super innovative, so I figured, why not give it a shot? My fitness journey has been, shall we say, inconsistent lately, so I was ready for something new.

First thing I did was, obviously, I tried to find some reviews online, and looked for more details. What I could gather, it sounded pretty cool.
Getting Started
The initial setup wasn’t too bad. I downloaded the app, hoping my phone has enough storage. Then I created an account – usual stuff, name, email, the whole shebang. I am a bit worried about my privacy but, for now, I need to get in shape first. After that, I answered a bunch of questions about my fitness level, goals, and what kind of equipment I have access to (which, honestly, isn’t much). I have some old dumbbells gathering dust in the corner, so I ticked that box.
Exploring the App
Once I was in, the app felt pretty intuitive. It’s not rocket science to navigate, which is a plus. There’s a main dashboard that shows your “plan of the day”. I also explored the exercise library, which is vast! They have videos for pretty much everything, from basic bodyweight stuff to more advanced exercises, and there are filters to find by the body part, the equipment, etc.
My First Workout
Okay, so here’s where the rubber meets the road. I picked a workout that seemed manageable, something labeled “Beginner Full Body”. The app guided me through each exercise, with videos demonstrating the proper form, good thing because I forgot how to do a proper squat. There were also timers for each set and rest periods. I followed along, sweating like a pig, but I managed to finish it! It wasn’t pretty, but I did it.
Tracking Progress
After the workout, the app prompted me to log how it felt. I rated the difficulty and added some notes about how my muscles were feeling. I could even see the history of my workouts, which is a simple feature but very useful. It’s a little early to see any real progress, but it’s cool to have that data. My body hurt for days, but my mind was happy, I guess.

Sticking With It
It’s been a couple of weeks now, and I’m still at it. I’ve tried a few different workouts, experimenting with the difficulty levels. I even started to increase the weight on my dusty old dumbbells. I’m not saying I’m suddenly a fitness guru, but I’m definitely feeling stronger and more energized. The app keeps me accountable, which is what I needed. I also received some motivational notifications, which are cheesy, but surprisingly effective.
Final Thoughts (For Now)
Overall, my experience with Arka Gym has been pretty positive. It’s not a magic bullet – you still have to put in the work – but it’s a solid tool that’s helping me get back on track. It’s convenient, easy to use, and the variety keeps things interesting. Will I be sporting a six-pack by next month? Probably not. But am I feeling better and moving more? Absolutely.
