Okay, so I wanted to figure out who the best Alabama QBs were in the NFL. It’s always a fun debate, right? So, I started digging in.

First, I made a list of all the Alabama QBs I could think of who made it to the NFL. I used a notebook for that.
- Bart Starr
- Joe Namath
- Kenny Stabler
- Richard Todd
- And a few others
Then, I started looking up their stats. It was not too hard as the sources are sufficient. I just typed their names and “NFL stats” into the search bar, pretty simple.
After that, I started comparing. I looked at things like:
- Passing yards
- Touchdowns
- Interceptions
- Super Bowl wins
- MVPs and stuff like that.
It got a little messy because some of these guys played in totally different eras. It’s hard to compare a QB from the 60s to someone playing now, you know? The rules were different, the game was different. So, I tried to keep that in mind and focused on the guys who were the best for their time.
I created a simple table to keep track of their essential data. It’s all handwritten, nothing fancy.

My Conclusion (For Now!)
After all that, it’s still tough to pick just one “best.” Bart Starr, Joe Namath, and Kenny Stabler – all legends, all Hall of Famers. It’s all about the preference.
