So, I’ve been grinding away at Marvel Contest of Champions lately, right? It’s this mobile fighting game where you collect and battle with Marvel heroes and villains. It’s been my go-to time-killer for a while now. But, like any game with a huge roster of characters, I started to wonder who are the real heavy hitters in this game.
That’s when I decided to do a little digging into the MCOC tier list. I thought, “Why not figure out which champs are worth investing in?” And that’s how I started, by asking myself this simple question. I wanted a solid team, you know, characters that could take on any challenge. So I spent a good chunk of time reading through forums, watching some gameplay videos, and even experimenting in the game myself.
I started with a list of characters I already had. Then I looked up each one on these tier lists to see where they stood. It was kind of eye-opening. Some characters I thought were strong were actually considered mid-tier. And some I had overlooked turned out to be beasts.
My Findings
- Hercules: This guy is a monster. Everyone seems to agree he’s one of the best, if not the best, in the game. His ability to counter almost any champ, his immortality, and the massive damage he deals… yeah, he’s definitely worth leveling up. I started focusing on him, and man, the difference was night and day. Suddenly, those tough fights became way more manageable.
- Ultron: I learned there are different versions of him in the game, but the default one is the real deal. His passive ability, Robotic, makes him immune to a bunch of debuffs, which is super handy. I realized I had been sleeping on Ultron, but once I started using him more, I saw why he’s so highly rated.
- Vox: This one was a surprise to me. Vox’s immunities are insane, making them really versatile. And those Precision Buffs from the Dexterity Mastery? No stack limit, which means you can build up some serious damage. I hadn’t used Vox much before, but now they’re a regular part of my team.
Putting together this tier list was a bit of work, but it totally paid off. I’ve now got a team that feels way more powerful and versatile. I’m clearing content I used to struggle with, and it’s all thanks to a little research and some trial and error. It just goes to show, a little bit of knowledge can go a long way in these games. I’m pretty stoked about my team now, and it’s been fun sharing this little project of mine. Maybe it’ll help some other folks out there who are trying to build their dream team in MCOC. Anyway, it is just a little bit of my experience. Hope it is helpful for you guys.
