Alright, folks, so the other day I got into this random debate with a buddy about LeBron James. We were talking about his legacy, his stats, all that jazz, and then somehow we got onto the topic of his family. My friend was convinced LeBron had a brother who played college ball, and I was like, “Nah, man, I don’t think so.” So, naturally, I had to prove him wrong.

First things first, I fired up Google. Just a simple search, you know? “LeBron James siblings.” I figured, if he had any brothers or sisters, it’d pop up right away. The initial results mostly focused on LeBron’s immediate family – his wife, kids, and his mom, Gloria. No mention of any siblings.
Then I scrolled through some of those “early life” and “family” sections on a few different websites. I mean, you gotta dig a little, right? Most of what I found was stuff I already knew. LeBron was raised by his single mother, Gloria, and he had a pretty tough childhood. Still, no siblings mentioned anywhere.
I even checked out a couple of dedicated sports biography sites. Figured they’d have the most detailed info. But again, nada. Just a lot about Gloria and how she raised LeBron on her own. It was looking more and more like my buddy was mistaken.
So I decided to do something, that is look closer at those articles about his mom. I read about how young she was when she had LeBron, the struggles she faced, and how she was always his biggest supporter. It was pretty clear that LeBron was her only * even has talked about this a lot.
The conclusion?
I texted back my friend. I said “Dude, you’re totally wrong. LeBron is an only child. All the sources point to his mom raising him by herself.” I felt good that I have done a good search and found correct answer.
