Alright, let’s talk about this “Creator Classic Leaderboard,” whatever that fancy name means. Sounds like some golf thing, you know, that game where they hit little balls with sticks. My old man used to play, never understood the fuss myself. Too much walking for my taste.
So, from what I hear, this Creator Classic thing happened, and some fella named Luke Kwon won it. Good for him, I guess. They say he beat out some other folks, Wesley Bryan, Sean Walsh, and Roger Steele in some kinda playoff. A “sudden-death playoff,” they called it. Sounds scary, like they were gonna shoot each other or somethin’, but I guess it just means they kept playin’ till someone won on one particular hole, the 18th one, which is a par-5, whatever that is.
They had a whole bunch of these internet people playing, YouTubers and such. Names like Bryan Bros, Paige Spiranac, Peter Finch, and them Good Good Golf fellas. Never heard of ’em, but I reckon the young folks know who they are. My grandkids are always glued to them phones, watchin’ who knows what.
- Luke Kwon – Winner He beat them other fellas. That’s all I know.
- Wesley Bryan – Second Place Good try, son. Maybe next time.
- Sean Walsh – Third Place He was right there, almost won.
- Roger Steele – Fourth Place Better luck next year, kid.
This whole thing was sponsored by some outfit called Blackstone. Sounds like money people to me. And they put it on somethin’ called the PGA Tour YouTube channel and other places. Apparently, it was at a place called East Lake, probably some fancy golf course.
Heard tell one of them girl golfers, Hailey Rae Ostrom, was real surprised by who won. Guess she didn’t think that Luke fella had it in him. Shows what she knows, huh? Golf is a funny game, you never know who’s gonna win. One day you’re up, the next you’re in the dirt.
Now, they say this was the first time they did this Creator Classic thing. An “inaugural” event, they called it. Big words for a bunch of folks hittin’ balls around, if you ask me. But I guess it’s a big deal to some folks. All them internet people and their followers, I imagine they got all worked up about it.
I don’t know much about golf, but I know about winning and losing. And it sounds like this Luke Kwon fella, he did alright. He came out on top. That’s what matters, ain’t it? You win, you’re the best, at least for that day. Then you gotta go out and do it all over again.
They had this tournament on August 28th, at 4 p.m. ET. Who watches golf at 4 in the afternoon? Don’t they have jobs? Guess not, if they’re makin’ money playin’ games or watchin’ other people play games. The world’s a strange place these days, I tell ya.
Anyway, that’s the gist of it, this Creator Classic Leaderboard thing. Some folks played golf, one fella won, and a bunch of other folks watched. End of story. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. They’re more excitin’ than watchin’ golf, that’s for sure.
Golf is golf, I always said. Hit the ball, find the ball, hit it again. Don’t matter if you’re some fancy pants or just a regular Joe. And seems like this Luke Kwon fella, he just hit it better than the rest that day. Good on him. That’s all there is to it. Don’t need all that fancy talk to understand that.
And these internet kids, they’re makin’ a good living playin’ around I guess. Good for them, better than sittin’ around doing nothin’. But I still don’t understand half of what they’re doin’ on them phones and computers. My old TV works just fine for me.
