Okay, here’s my blog post about trying out a TH9 army in Clash of Clans:
So, I’ve been playing Clash of Clans for a while now, and I finally got to Town Hall 9. Time to mix things up with the army! I heard a lot of folks talking about this “GoHo” thing, so I figured I’d give it a shot. It’s basically Golems and Hogs, right? Sounds simple enough.
First, I cooked up some Golems in the Barracks. Those big guys can take a beating, which is what I need. Then, I trained a bunch of Hog Riders. These dudes are fast and love to smash defenses. It’s a pretty cool combo, I gotta say.
I also added some of the usual suspects: Giants, Barbarians, and Archers. You know, just to have some backup and help clear out buildings. I usually throw in some wall breakers to help my golems get into the base easier. Oh, and I didn’t forget to whip up a few spells. Healing Spells are a must-have for keeping those Hogs alive, and a Rage spell comes in handy too when they need that extra oomph.
My first attack… well, it wasn’t pretty. I dropped my Golems first, hoping they’d soak up all the damage. Then I sent in the Hog Riders, but they ran straight into a bunch of traps. Giant Bombs everywhere! It was a mess. I barely got one star. Back to the drawing board, I guess.
I watched a few videos online and realized I was doing it all wrong. You gotta lure out the Clan Castle troops first! So, I started using a few Hogs to pull them out, then took them down with my archers and barbs on the outside. Much better.
After some practice, I finally got the hang of it. I learned to scout the base properly, looking for possible trap locations and planning my attack path. It’s all about timing and placement. I started getting two stars more consistently, and sometimes even three! I even managed to use this strategy in war successfully a few times.
- Start with Golems to tank.
- Use a few Hogs to lure Clan Castle.
- Deploy Hogs in groups, not all at once.
- Heal them up when they’re low.
- Rage them when they’re going for key defenses.
GoHo is a solid strategy for TH9, but it definitely takes some practice. Don’t get discouraged if your first few attacks fail. Just keep tweaking your army composition, learn from your mistakes, and you’ll be crushing bases in no time. I am still learning and messing this up, but it is fun to see the progress. You know? Just wanted to share this with you guys, let me know how your GoHo attacks go!
