Okay, so today I decided to dig into the “Summerslam Match Ratings” and see if I could pull all that data together. It sounded like a fun little project, and honestly, I was curious to see the numbers myself.

First, I started by just Googling around. You know, the usual – “Summerslam match ratings,” “best Summerslam matches,” stuff like that. I found a bunch of different websites, forums, and articles, all with different opinions and lists. It was a bit of a mess, to be honest.
Then, I decided I needed to narrow things down. I focused on some of the more, well, respected wrestling sites, the ones that seemed to have actual rating systems, not just some random dude’s opinion. I also looked at some fan forums, just to get a sense of what the general consensus was.
- I grabbed a notebook and pen,Old school, I know.
- I started jotting down the matches and their ratings from each source.
- Made a little chart, just to keep things organized.
After that, it was all about compiling. I went through my notes and started averaging out the ratings for each match. Some matches had tons of ratings, others only had a few, so I had to kind of eyeball it sometimes. It wasn’t super scientific, but it gave me a pretty good idea of the overall picture.
I spent a good couple of hours on this, and let me tell you, there’s a LOT of Summerslam matches out there! It was actually pretty cool to see how the ratings changed over the years, and which matches consistently came out on top.
Finally, I put it all together into a simple little summary. Just the match, the average rating I came up with, and maybe a little note about why it was so highly (or poorly) rated. Nothing fancy, just the raw data.

It was a fun way to combine a bit of searching with my own little bit of data * is great to share.
