Okay, here’s my blog post about figuring out the Junior de Barranquilla vs. LDU Quito lineups. It was a bit of a scramble, but I got there in the end!

Alright, so I wanted to see the Junior de Barranquilla versus LDU Quito game. Obviously, the first thing I needed was the lineups. I mean, what’s a game without knowing who’s actually playing, right?
My first move? Google, duh! I typed in “Junior de Barranquilla vs LDU Quito lineups”. Simple as that. Got a bunch of results, mostly sports news sites and those live score pages.
At first, I landed on a couple of sites that were just previews, you know, talking about possible formations and key players but not the actual confirmed lineups. Annoying! I scrolled through a bunch, clicking links left and right.
Then I hit a site that looked promising. It had a “Confirmed Lineups” section. Sweet! But, hold on… the names looked a little off. It was showing lineups from a game last season! Classic internet fail. I swear, half the stuff online is outdated.
I tried another search, this time adding “official” to the query. “Junior de Barranquilla vs LDU Quito lineups official”. That narrowed it down a bit.

I ended up finding a tweet from a sports journalist who usually covers South American football. He had posted a picture of the team sheets about an hour before kickoff. Bingo! It was a bit blurry, and in Spanish, but I could make out the names and numbers.
- Goalkeeper: Viera (easy one!)
- Defense: A couple of guys I recognized from previous games.
- Midfield: Looked like they were going with a pretty attacking setup.
For LDU Quito, it was a bit trickier since I wasn’t as familiar with their players. But the tweet also mentioned their key players, so I could match them up. I also cross-referenced it with another sports site that was doing a live blog of the game. They usually post the lineups as soon as they’re announced.
Finally, I had both lineups confirmed. I jotted them down in my notes app so I could follow along properly during the game. It took way longer than it should have, but hey, that’s the internet for you!
Next time, I’ll try checking the team’s official Twitter accounts directly. That might be a faster way to get the info straight from the source. Live and learn, right?
