Okay, so I got curious about Conor McGregor’s alcohol ventures, you know, like his Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey and the Forged Irish Stout. I figured, why not dive in and see what the hype is all about?

First Step: The Whiskey
I started with the Proper No. Twelve. Honestly, I’m not a huge whiskey drinker, more of a beer guy, but I wanted the full experience.
I grabbed a bottle from the local liquor store.
- Looked at the bottle, pretty standard stuff.
- Gave it a sniff, smelled like… well, whiskey.
- Poured a little into a glass, neat. No ice or anything.
- Took a sip. It was… strong. Definitely a whiskey burn.
- Tried it with a splash of water. Still strong, but a bit smoother.
I’m not gonna lie, it wasn’t my favorite drink ever. But, I could see how whiskey lovers might enjoy it. It’s got that classic whiskey taste, and it definitely packs a punch.
Next Up: The Stout
Now, this is more my speed. I love a good stout. So, I was pretty excited to try McGregor’s Forged Irish Stout.
It took me a while, but I found some in pub.

- Ordered a pint. The bartender poured it, nice dark color, creamy head.
- Took a sip. Much better! This I liked.
- It’s got that roasted, malty flavor, a little bit of coffee and chocolate notes.
- It’s pretty smooth, easy to drink.
Yeah, the stout was definitely a winner for me. I could easily drink a few of those. It’s a solid stout, nothing mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable.
The Final Verdict?
After trying both, I’d say McGregor’s alcohol is… decent. The whiskey wasn’t my thing, but I can see the appeal. The stout, though, that’s something I’d drink again. It’s a good, solid beer.
Overall, it was a fun little experiment. Felt like a bit of a “taste test” mission. Wouldn’t go out of my way for the whiskey, but the stout? Yeah, I’d grab that if I saw it on tap again.
