Okay, so I saw this “It’s a Blast” clue on the NYT crossword today and I was like, “Alright, let’s do this!” I’m not gonna lie, crosswords aren’t always my strong suit, but I’ve been trying to get better, you know? Gotta keep the brain busy.

First, I stared at the clue for a good minute. Just letting it sink in. “It’s a Blast”… hmm. My brain immediately went to, like, explosions, fireworks, that kind of thing. But it could also mean having a really good time, right?
So, I looked at the crossing letters I already had. There were, I think, five spaces and the last two letter is “T,Y”, so that aready gives me a clue . That helped narrow it down a bit. Could it be some kind of party? A “PARTY” maybe?
- I tried filling in “PARTY” lightly in pencil. Gotta be careful, don’t want to mess up the whole grid!
- Then, I checked the crossing words to see if “PARTY” made sense. And bingo! It all fit.
The Result
I gotta say, I felt pretty good after solving that one. It’s like a little victory, you know? Every time I solve one of these, I want to shoutout to my skill! Solving the puzzle, is a good one to add to my crossword-solving skills. I’m definitely gonna keep practicing. Maybe one day I’ll be able to finish a whole puzzle without any help! Now that would be a blast!
