Alright, so I’ve been playing this game, Dragon’s Dogma 2, right? And there’s this quest called “A Veil of Gossamer Clouds” that I finally got around to tackling. It sounded pretty simple at first, but boy, was I in for a ride.
So the quest starts after you finish up that whole coronation thing. I went to see this guy, Sven, in his fancy room at Vernworth Palace. It’s the room all the way to the northwest on the second floor. He gave me this quest and a letter that wasn’t finished. I figured, “Okay, delivery boy time, let’s do this.”
First, I had to read the unfinished letter. Then, I thought I just needed to show it to a bunch of people. But it wasn’t clear who exactly. So, I started running around, showing it to anyone who looked even remotely important. Some folks had things to say about it, others just gave me the “what is this?” look. I spent a lot of time wandering, honestly. It felt like I was going in circles in Vernworth, just showing this letter to everyone I met.
After what felt like forever, I decided to just head back to Sven’s room at the castle. I figured maybe I’d missed something, or maybe he’d have more instructions. And sure enough, when I talked to him, I could give the letter back. Turns out, that’s all I really needed to do! He thanked me for my “help,” I guess tracking down people who knew something about the letter, and rewarded me with some experience points and a nice chunk of gold, 14,000 to be exact. Not too shabby for a glorified mailman job, huh?
Honestly, the whole thing was more confusing than it needed to be. I thought I’d be off on some grand adventure, but it was mostly just running around showing a letter to people. But hey, the gold was good, and it’s one more quest off my list. Plus, it kind of ties into that whole thing Captain Brant mentioned about getting me into Battahl, which is apparently the next big step. So, I guess it wasn’t a total waste of time.
I did hear that this quest takes you all the way to Bakbattahl and back, but luckily I did not have to do that. Now onto the next adventure, whatever that may be!
