Okay, so, I saw this thing online about, uh, giving your dog a… you know. It sounded kinda crazy, but I got curious. I mean, people talk about all sorts of weird stuff with their pets, right? So, I figured, why not look into it?
First, I did some digging around. Turns out, there’s a whole bunch of stories and opinions out there. Some people think it’s totally wrong, others say it’s no big deal. There was even this one story about dogs and cats in Springfield, but that turned out to be fake. Reminds me of that movie, Hannibal, you know the one I’m talking about, right? Anyway, it’s wild how worked up people get about dog stuff. Like, even with basic things like training, folks have some strong opinions. It’s nuts!
My Research
I decided to try to figure this out, so I did some research. After reading a ton of stuff, I was still confused. So here’s what I did next:
- Watched some videos: I found a few videos online, but most were just clickbait or jokes. Nothing really helpful.
- Talked to some people: I asked around, but most of my friends just laughed or thought I was being weird. A couple of people online said they’d heard of it but didn’t have any real info.
- Tried to find real stories: I wanted to hear from someone who actually had experience. This was tough. Most stories were just rumors or made up.
Giving it a try
So after I had learned so much, I decided to give it a try. I thought about the best way to do it. I wanted to be gentle, and I definitely didn’t want to hurt my dog. I figured the best way was to just see what happened naturally. I got down on the floor with my dog. He just kinda looked at me funny, like he was wondering what I was up to. I started by just petting him, you know, like normal. Then, I slowly, uh, moved my hand down there. He didn’t seem to mind. He just kept looking at me with those big, puppy-dog eyes.
And, well, nothing really happened. He just kinda licked my hand and wagged his tail. I tried, um, moving my mouth closer, but he just wasn’t into it. He was more interested in playing fetch, to be honest. After a few minutes, I gave up. It just felt weird and awkward. I tried to use my muscles down there to keep him inside, but he just wiggled away, it seemed fun for him. I guess some dogs might like it, but mine definitely wasn’t one of them.
So, yeah, that was my experience. It wasn’t some big, crazy thing. Just a weird experiment that didn’t really go anywhere. I guess it’s different for every dog, but for me and mine, it was a no-go. We’re back to regular belly rubs and games of fetch. And honestly, I think we’re both happier that way. It’s funny, 25 years ago I didn’t care about dogs at all, but now I am happy to have one.
