Alright, so I’ve been messing around with fantasy football team names, specifically ones for Jahmyr Gibbs. It’s that time of year again, and I wanted something clever, something that would, you know, actually make people chuckle. So, I started by just brainstorming whatever came to mind.
First Attempts (Kind of Lame)
- Gibbs Rules
- Gibbs’ Kingdom
- Run Gibbs Run
Yeah, pretty basic, I know. Nothing special. These were just off the top of my head, no real thought put into them. I figured I needed to dig a little deeper, play on his name, or maybe his playing style.
Getting a Little More Creative
I spent some time watching Gibbs’ highlights, trying to see if anything jumped out at me. He’s fast, obviously, and pretty shifty. So, I started thinking about words associated with speed and agility. This is what I came up with:
- Gibbs and Furious
- Finding Gibby
- The Gibbs Identity
Okay, those are a little better. At least they’re trying to be puns, right? I showed them to a few friends, and they got a couple of polite laughs. Improvement, but not quite there yet.I felt like i need be more creative.
The Final Product (I Think!)
I did research for an hour,and think for a while,and I decided try these:
- Jahmyracle on 34th Street
- Forgetting Jahmyrshall
- Lord of the Gibbs
Boom! I think the “Jahmyracle on 34th Street” one is pure gold. It’s a play on words, it’s topical.I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, it took some effort, but that’s what makes a good fantasy team name, right? The effort. Or, at least, the illusion of effort.
