Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Conor McGregor’s style lately. I mean, the guy just oozes confidence, and his outfits are always on point. I decided to try and channel my inner McGregor for a week and see if I could pull it off.
First things first, I needed to figure out the key elements of his look. It’s all about tailored suits, bold colors, and statement pieces, right? He’s not afraid to stand out, that’s for sure. And the accessories! The watches, the sunglasses, the pocket squares – it all adds up to this larger-than-life persona.
I started with my wardrobe. Now, I don’t have a closet full of designer suits like McGregor, but I do have a few decent pieces. I picked out a navy blue suit that I thought had a good fit. I usually wear it with a plain white shirt, but that’s not very McGregor, is it? So, I went online and browsed for some inspiration.
- Found some cool floral shirts and bought a couple.
- Bought a pocket square and tried to put it into my suit’s pocket. I really practiced it for a long time.
- Got some cheap cufflinks and sunglasses.
- Found one of my father’s old watch.
The first time I wore the full outfit, I felt a bit self-conscious, to be honest. It was definitely a step outside my comfort zone. I wore the blue suit with a bright floral shirt and a red pocket square. And of course, I added the sunglasses and a big watch, even though it was cloudy outside. I even tried to mimic McGregor’s swagger when I walked.
People definitely noticed. I got a few compliments, which was nice. But I also got some weird looks. I guess not everyone is used to seeing a guy in a floral shirt and a flashy suit just walking down the street, especially in my town. And let me tell you, trying to keep that confident McGregor smirk on my face all day was exhausting!
I kept it up for the rest of the week, trying different combinations of suits, shirts, and accessories. I even attempted to style my hair like his, but that was a disaster. Let’s just say I don’t have his barber’s skills. By the end of the week, I was starting to get the hang of it. I felt a bit more comfortable in the bolder outfits, and I even started to enjoy the attention.
The Result
So, did I successfully transform into Conor McGregor? Not quite. But I definitely learned a few things about style and confidence. It’s not just about the clothes you wear, it’s about how you wear them. You have to own the look, you know? And even if you don’t feel confident on the inside, sometimes faking it till you make it actually works.
Would I recommend trying to copy a celebrity’s style? Maybe, for a little while, to change your daily looks. It’s a fun experiment, and it can push you outside your fashion comfort zone. But at the end of the day, it’s important to find your own style, something that makes you feel good and reflects who you are. As for me, I’ll probably tone it down a bit from now on. But hey, at least I gave it a shot, right? And I’ve got a newfound appreciation for a well-placed pocket square, and my father’s old watch is my new favorite.
