Okay, so I’ve been wanting to go to a Duke-UNC basketball game for, like, forever. It’s the ultimate rivalry, you know? So, I finally decided to make it happen this year. Here’s how it went down.

The Hunt Begins
First, I jumped online to see what the ticket situation looked like. I checked out the official Duke athletics website. Then I looked at some of the resale sites. Man, those prices were CRAZY!
I started to feel a little discouraged. I mean, some of those tickets were going for more than my rent!
Getting Creative
But I wasn’t giving up that easily. I started asking around. I talked to friends, family, even some old college buddies. Nobody had any leads, though.
- Tried official channels – way too expensive.
- Checked resale sites – even worse!
- Asked friends/family – no luck.
Scoring the Tickets (Finally!)
Then, a friend of a friend told me about a guy who sometimes has extra tickets. It sounded a little sketchy, but I was desperate. I got the guy’s number and gave him a call.
It turned out he was a season ticket holder and couldn’t make all the games. He offered me two tickets at a price that, while still high, was way better than anything I’d seen online. I jumped at the chance and immediately, I send him the payment.
Game Day!
The game was incredible! The atmosphere was electric. It, the match, was everything I’d hoped for and more. Even though Duke lost, it was still an amazing experience. So worth it!.
The important part is: I did it. It costed a lot of money, but I finally watched the game!
