Okay, so I was trying to solve this crossword puzzle today, and one clue totally stumped me: “Boxer De La Hoya.” I was like, “What the heck?” I racked my brain, trying to remember anything I knew about boxing.

First, I tried just staring at the empty spaces, hoping inspiration would strike. Nope. Nothing.

Then, I decided to go the Google route. I typed in “boxer de la hoya” and boom, tons of stuff popped up. Turns out, it’s a pretty famous name – Oscar De La Hoya!
- I scrolled through a bunch of articles and saw he was a big-time boxer, nicknamed “The Golden Boy.”
- I learned he won a gold medal at the Olympics. Cool!
- I also discovered he had a whole career after boxing, doing promotions and stuff.
Finally, I went back to my crossword and confidently filled in “OSCAR.” There it was, fit perfectly!
It was pretty satisfying to finally crack that clue. I moved on and finished the rest of the puzzle no problem. Who knew a simple crossword clue could send me down a mini-research rabbit hole?
