My WWE Draft Experience
Alright, so the WWE Draft rolled around again. I always try to follow it, see where everyone lands. It’s kind of a yearly ritual, you know? Grab some snacks, settle in.

Night One Kicks Off
Turned on the TV Friday night. You always have those big names you expect to go early. Raw kicked things off, SmackDown made their picks. Pretty standard stuff at the start, mostly the main eventers staying put or making the expected moves. Felt a bit predictable, honestly, in that first hour.
- Saw Cody Rhodes stay on Raw. Makes sense, finish the story and all that.
- Bianca Belair moving to SmackDown. Okay, that freshens things up for her.
- Then you get the middle rounds. This is where it gets a bit more interesting.
I was watching, thinking, “Okay, who’s gonna be the surprise?” Sometimes they throw a curveball. This year, maybe less so on night one? Felt like they were playing it a bit safe. Saw some tag teams getting split, which always feels a bit rough, but it happens.
Moving to Night Two
Monday night rolls around. Same deal. Got everything ready. Usually, night two has more NXT call-ups and maybe some bigger shifts because the top tier is mostly settled.
The NXT Factor

Yeah, they brought up a few people from NXT. Always good to see new blood. You watch them down there, wondering when they’ll get the call.
- Carmelo Hayes going to SmackDown felt right.
- Ilja Dragunov to Raw, that guy’s intense. Should be fun.
But then, you also see some folks kinda get lost in the shuffle. Drafted late, maybe put into a tough spot. You hope they make the best of it. It’s not always easy moving brands, finding your footing again.
Overall Thoughts
So, after both nights, what’s the verdict? Well, the rosters are definitely shuffled. Some interesting potential matchups now exist. Raw feels like it got a bit stronger in certain areas, SmackDown picked up some solid workers.
It wasn’t the most shocking draft I’ve ever seen, not by a long shot. Felt more like a necessary reshuffle than a massive shake-up. But that’s okay. Sometimes stability is good too. Now, the real work starts for these guys and gals, making their mark on their new brand. We just gotta watch and see how it plays out over the next few months. That’s the fun part, seeing what actually happens after the draft dust settles.
