What I Found
I found out some tidbits like Uga, the team’s mascot, apparently missed a trip once, which caused a bit of a stir among the fans. It’s these little things that make you realize how much people are invested in their teams. And there were 81 scholarship players that year, with 17 seniors set to leave after the season. That got me thinking about all the planning and strategy that goes into managing a team roster year after year.
The team’s record in 2007 was also interesting. They were 10-2 for the regular season, which is pretty good. They had a big win against the Hawaii Warriors, 41 to 10. It made me wanna go back and watch some of those games again.
