Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole harness racing thing, specifically with this Jason Bartlett guy. Let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I got really into it after reading something about how he’s, like, number 10 on the all-time earnings list. I mean, who knew horse racing could be so intense?
First off, I started digging around for info. Found out this Bartlett dude is second in North American earnings for harness racing drivers. That’s a big deal, right? I also saw that the 2024 live harness racing at MGM Yonkers Raceway wrapped up on December 20th. This made me want to see what all the fuss was about.
- Started by watching a bunch of races online.
- Got super into the strategy behind it all.
- Decided I needed to see this guy, Jason Bartlett, in action.
So, I started following the races he was in. I found out he’s from Goshen and is apparently on track to make the Harness Racing Hall of Fame. That’s some serious stuff. The dude’s hit 10,000 wins – no small feat! I read about this one weekend where he did really well, even with horses that weren’t favorites. Like, there was this horse, Tarrific, at 31-1 odds, that almost won from post 10. Crazy, right? And another one, Seven Colors… Man, it was exciting!
I even tried to find out more about how he got so good. Learned he had some great mentors, which makes sense. You don’t get to be that good without learning from the best. It’s like, he’s not just lucky, he’s got real skill and he works at it.
After following his races for a while, I started feeling like I was getting a grip on this whole harness racing world. It’s not just about the horses; it’s about the drivers too. And Jason Bartlett? He’s definitely one of the best. I was so pumped up about all this, I even started thinking about going to a live race sometime.
What I realized:
- Harness racing is way more complex than I thought.
- Jason Bartlett is a legend in the making.
- Following his races is super thrilling!
So yeah, that’s my story about getting into harness racing because of Jason Bartlett. It’s been a blast learning about it all, and I’m definitely gonna keep following his career. Who knows, maybe I’ll even make it to Yonkers Raceway one day to see him race live!
