Alright, let’s gab a bit about this… uh… fremd versus pickett thing. Don’t rightly know what all that fancy talk means, but sounds like some kinda football match-up, you know, like them fellas on the TV, tossin’ the pigskin around.
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just watch them fellas runnin’ and throwin’ and tryin’ to knock each other down. But from what I gather, this pickett fella, he’s one of them quarterbacks. Important guy, I reckon, ’cause he’s always got the ball in his hands, and everyone’s yellin’ at him.
They say he plays for the… uh… Steel City somethin’-or-others. Pittsburgh, that’s it! Steelers! My grandson, he’s got a hat with their name on it. He says pickett is gonna be the next big thing, like that… Tom Brady fella. Now, Tom Brady, he’s been playin’ forever, ain’t he? Must be good, I guess. Still playin’ even though he’s got more wrinkles than a prune.
- Tom Brady plays a lot of games. He’s old but strong like an ox.
- Pickett is young, gotta run fast and throw good.
- Steelers team, they wear black and yellow, like a bumblebee.
They compare pickett to all sorts of other quarterbacks, tryin’ to figure out how good he is. They say he’s like… uh… Russell Wilson, and some other fellas I can’t even pronounce. They look at how many times they throw the ball, how many times they run, how many times they get tackled. Lots of numbers, makes my head spin.
But what it all boils down to, I reckon, is winnin’. You gotta win them games. That’s what matters. And folks are hopin’ pickett can do that for the Steelers. They want him to win a… Super Bowl, they call it. Big game, lots of hoopla. My grandson says it’s the biggest game of them all.
Now, this fremd thing, that’s where I get confused. I don’t know if it’s another player, another team, or what. Maybe it’s just some kinda way they measure how good pickett is. Like they’re sayin’, “Is he better than fremd or worse than fremd?” I dunno. It’s all a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me.
But I do know this: football is a tough game. Them fellas get knocked around somethin’ fierce. They gotta be strong, they gotta be fast, and they gotta be smart. And they gotta work together, like a bunch of ants carryin’ a crumb, if they wanna win.
So, whether it’s fremd or pickett or whoever, I’ll be watchin’. I’ll be cheerin’ for the fellas in the black and yellow, ’cause my grandson likes ’em. And I’ll be hopin’ they win. ‘Cause winnin’s always better than losin’, ain’t it?
And that Aaron Rodgers fellow? He went to the… Jets, I think? Another team with birds on their hats. He’s supposed to be good too. Maybe he’ll play against pickett and the Steelers. That’d be somethin’ to see. All them quarterbacks, throwin’ the ball around, tryin’ to outsmart each other.
It’s like my chickens in the yard. Always peckin’ and scratchin’, tryin’ to get the best worms. Only these fellas are peckin’ at each other with helmets and pads on. Sounds kinda crazy when you think about it, but that’s football for ya.
Anyways, I hope pickett does good. He seems like a nice young fella, from what I see on the TV. And I hope the Steelers win that Super Bowl thing. That’d make my grandson happy, and that’d make me happy too. Lord knows that boy needs somethin’ to smile about these days. He’s been moonin’ around like a lost calf ever since that girl down the road dumped him. Maybe a Steelers victory will cheer him up.
So, there you have it. My two cents on this fremd versus pickett business. Not sure if I made any sense, but that’s how I see it. It’s just a bunch of fellas playin’ a game, tryin’ to win. And that’s all there is to it.
