Okay, so today I wanted to do something fun and a little different. I’m a huge fantasy football guy, and one of my favorite players right now is Devonta Smith. He’s electric! But, you gotta have a good team name, right? It’s like, half the battle. So, I spent some time today brainstorming some killer Devonta Smith-related fantasy football names. Here’s how it went down:
Brainstorm Session
First, I just sat down with a pen and paper. Old school, I know. I started by writing down everything that came to mind about Smith:
- Slim Reaper: That’s his nickname, gotta use it.
- Eagles: His team, obviously.
- Touchdowns: ‘Cause that’s what we want, baby!
- Alabama: Where he went to college. Roll Tide! (Even though I’m not really an Alabama fan…)
- Speedy: The dude is fast.
Then, I started messing around with those words, trying to make some puns or funny combinations. I wrote down everything, even the really dumb stuff. You never know when a bad idea might spark a good one.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
I scribbled for a good hour, It was really a grind to make it work, and Here’s some of the stuff I crossed out almost immediately:
- Devonta’s Demons (Too generic)
- Smith Happens (Kind of lame)
- Eagle Eye Smith (Meh)
I kept playing around. Smashing words together, adding some silly stuff… it was a process, let me tell you. I yelled at my wife, kicked the cat, and spilled coffee and all of that stuff.
The Finalists!
After all that brainstorming, drinking, and word-mashing, I narrowed it down to my favorite names. I was pretty satisfied. Drumroll, please…:
- Slim Reaper’s Revenge
- DeVonta’s Touchdown Factory
- Smitty City
- Roll Tide Roll (With DeVonta)
- The DeVonta Code
I’m leaning towards “Slim Reaper’s Revenge” myself, but “The DeVonta Code” is kinda growing on me. What was all of this for? well, you tell me… What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments which one is your favorite, or if you’ve got an even better one!
