Okay, so I was reading up on this guy, Joshua Wahab, and I gotta say, I was pretty intrigued. He’s a software engineer, and he’s got this website where he talks about his projects and stuff.
First, I started by googling his name. Found his personal website, pretty standard stuff. I clicked around, checked out his “About Me” section. He mentioned some of his interests, like web development and machine learning. I bookmarked a few of the projects he listed that looked interesting.
Digging Deeper
Next, I went to his GitHub profile. Lots of repos there. I looked at the ones that matched the projects on his website. Started with the ones that had the most stars, figuring those were probably the most polished.
- I cloned one of the repos, a web app built with React. Followed the instructions in the README to get it running locally. Played around with it for a bit, got a feel for how it worked.
- Then I looked at the code. It was pretty well-organized, easy to follow. I noticed he used a lot of comments to explain what was going on, which was nice.
Impressions
I spent a few hours poking around his projects. He’s definitely got skills. The code is clean, the apps work well, and he seems to have a good grasp of a variety of technologies.
I decided to try and reach out to him. Found his email on his website and sent him a message. Told him I enjoyed checking out his work and asked a few questions about one of the projects. He got back to me within a day, which was cool. We had a nice little exchange. He seemed like a pretty chill dude.
Overall, I was impressed with Joshua Wahab. He’s a talented developer, and he’s put together a solid portfolio. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on his work in the future.
