Okay, so, I’ve been following the Green Bay Packers for years, and this season has been a rollercoaster, to say the least. I really wanted to figure out their playoff chances, so I started digging into it.

First, I checked out the current NFC playoff standings. It looked pretty good, with whispers around the internet saying the Packers were at 99% chance to make the playoffs. That sounded amazing, but I needed to be sure.
So I found this thing called a “Playoff Predictor” – seemed fancy, but it basically just does the math for you. It said the Packers had a 97.7% chance to make the postseason. Close enough to what everyone was saying. Felt pretty good about that. I thought, “We are almost there!”
Then, I went down a rabbit hole of betting odds. Apparently, based on some odds from FanDuel, the Packers had a 94.7% implied probability of making the playoffs. BetMGM had them as a -1000 to be a wild card. I don’t really understand betting, but those numbers seemed to agree with the Playoff Predictor thingy.
- Checked the NFC standings – looked good!
- Used a Playoff Predictor – 97.7% chance!
- Looked at betting odds – around 94.7% chance!
- We need to win to get that No.6 seed!
But here’s the kicker – these were all based on the season ending “today.” We still had games left! I remembered they had already clinched a playoff spot with a big win against the Saints. That was awesome, but seeding still mattered.
I saw something about needing to beat the Bears in Week 18 to get the No. 6 seed in the NFC. That made me a bit nervous, because, you know, it’s the Bears. They are our rivals. But, good news! We’ve won the last 11 games against them. Fingers crossed that holds up!

And there are also other things at play – like the Commanders needing to lose, and then there’s something about the Bills and Patriots game. Honestly, it gets a bit confusing.
My Conclusion
It all boils down to this: we’re in a good spot. Really good. But we can’t get cocky. We need that win against the Bears to get a better seed, and then, who knows? Maybe we can make a real run in the playoffs! I really think we can make it. Let’s go Pack go!
